Walter Wathieu (b. 1992, Liège) is a Belgian artist based in Brussels whose work bridges the worlds of industrial tools and organic spontaneity. With a master’s degree in industrial design and years of collaboration with leading Belgian artists, his artistic path has led him to work with diverse media, such as video installations, algorithmic works, design and sculpture.

A central aspect of his work is the balance between meticulous technical control and a willingness to embrace randomness and accidents in the final result, highlighting the chaotic yet harmonious essence of creation.

In 2020, he founded Panamax, an artist-run space in Liège dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art and experimental practices.
WW’s latest works have been shown in venues such as Lille Grand Palais, Frac de Nantes, Kunsthall Gent, Plus One Gallery, and Kanal Centre Pompidou Brussels.
