Screensaverserie

The Screensaver project emerged from years of research, sparked by the discovery of a hundred obsolete computer screens. My goal was to repurpose these screens as a medium for abstract and pixelated compositions. Using programmed algorithms, the screens are controlled to generate gradual and random changes, inviting viewers to engage in contemplation and experience the artwork’s perpetual evolution. The project draws inspiration from artists like Karl Otto Götz, who experimented with televisions, and the Game of Life by John Horton Conway, an enduring influence on artists since the 1970s.
