Computervision_w/ Curatormachine

Computervision” is a video project based on the use of surveillance cameras, monitors, mirrors, and specially designed motion detection systems. The idea is to place a camera in a way that it observes its own real-time video feed and overlays it with a dedicated motion detection filter, generating abstract and fluid visuals.

Beyond the aesthetic and technical aspects, this artwork aims to provoke reflection on our relationship with technology and our capacity for introspection. It questions how we perceive ourselves and how machines perceive us.

In this case the video was made for an audiovisual device sold in the Curatormachine at Kunsthall, Gent.
